The Reveal Agent modifies the Google Chrome Extension Install Force List to ensure that the Reveal Agent Browser Extension remains installed.

To remove the browser extension, the best way is to run the "agent.exe browser uninstall" command before uninstalling the Reveal Agent, however if the Agent has already been removed, it is possible to manually edit the Windows Registry to remove the enforced extension.

  1. Open regedit.exe
  2. Navigate to the following Key store:
    1. HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\WOW6432Node\Policies\Google\Chrome\ExtensionInstallForcelist
  3. Before modifying the registry, we recommend taking a backup of this Key using File > Export and saving the selected branch
  4. Locate the correct entry for the Reveal Agent extension ID, this is: gbojkjpincgojijodbnliimgeggnomai
  5. If this extension is the last entry in the list, it is safe to be deleted immediately
  6. If there are other extensions in this list after this one, it is necessary to re-number the later entries to ensure that there is no gap in the numbering
    1. For example, if there were 3 keys initially:
      1. gbojkjpincgojijodbnliimgeggnomai
      2. foo1234
      3. bar5678
    2. Deleting the first entry would result in keys 2 and 3 remaining, which would not be detected by Chrome on the next load (it starts at entry 1)
    3. The final result should read
      1. foo1234
      2. bar5678
    4. To achieve this, you need to manually copy "fooo1234" into a new entry at position 1, then delete position 2 and repeat for "bar5678"
